Scottish Open Courses as Posters: St Andrews Course Map
The Scottish courses that hosted The Open, from the Old Course in St Andrews to Turnberry, drawn hole by hole as a poster.
Where The Open has been played in Scotland
The Open Championship has been played on the Old Course in St Andrews, at Carnoustie, at Muirfield, at Royal Troon and on the Ailsa Course at Turnberry. Anyone who follows the game knows these names, and each of them looks good on paper. A Course Prints poster shows the real layout of the course with every hole drawn, so you can follow a round from the first tee to the final green without leaving your living room.
This article goes through each venue and how it looks as a course map. It ends with the practical details: sizes, frames and delivery.
The Old Course, St Andrews
Golf has been played in St Andrews for around six hundred years. The Old Course lies in the town itself, in Fife, and a St Andrews course map lets you see how the holes fit together on that historic ground. When the whole routing is on one sheet, you notice details you might miss while walking the fairways.
It is a natural place to start a collection of Open venues. You will find it on the Old Course St Andrews poster page, where you choose the size and decide whether you want a frame.
Carnoustie in Angus
Carnoustie lies in Angus. Seeing the Carnoustie layout on a single sheet makes it easy to trace how the course unfolds, hole after hole, and to point out the stretch that matters most to you. The Carnoustie Championship Course poster shows the full routing in clean, quiet lines.
Muirfield in East Lothian
Muirfield lies in East Lothian and belongs on any list of Scottish courses where The Open has been played. As a poster it makes a calm, precise piece for a study, a hallway or a clubroom wall. Take a look at the Muirfield Golf Club poster to see how the course reads from above.
Royal Troon and Turnberry on the Ayrshire coast
Royal Troon and Turnberry both lie on the coast of Ayrshire. A Royal Troon map and a poster of the Ailsa Course at Turnberry work well as a pair, especially for someone who has a soft spot for that part of Scotland. Choose the Royal Troon poster, the Turnberry Ailsa Course poster, or hang them side by side.
Sizes, frames and delivery
Every poster starts at €29.99 and comes in four sizes, without a frame or in a black frame:

- 30 x 40 cm

- 50 x 70 cm
Shipping is free once your order reaches €60. Before you pay, the product page shows the expected delivery date, so you know where you stand. Around the holidays, that page mentions Sinterklaas or Christmas as long as the date is still achievable.
A gift for someone who follows The Open
A course map is a personal gift without being complicated. You pick a course that means something to the person, choose a size that suits their wall, and the poster does the rest. If the course they care about most is not in the collection, you can use the designer to have a poster made of another course.
Still looking for the right course? The gift page brings together the most popular courses in one place, which makes it easy to compare them before you decide.
